Natchitoches Area Jaycees
The United States Junior Chamber (Jaycees) gives young people between the ages of 18 and 41 the tools they need to build the bridges of success for themselves in the areas of business development, management skills, individual training, community service, and international connections.
Established in 1920 to provide opportunities for young men to develop personal and leadership skills through service to others, the Jaycees have been a force for good in America and around the world for the past 88 years.
Jaycees helped establish AirMail services in America with Jaycee Charles Lindbergh, and have raised millions of dollars for causes such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the March of Dimes. They have built parks, playgrounds, hospitals, ball fields, and housing for the elderly while conducting service and support programs in thousands of communities nationwide.

For nearly six decades the Natchitoches Area Jaycees has provided a foundation of unity and service to Natchitoches and the surrounding communities. Since it’s inception in 1956, individuals who strive to better themselves, their families, and their community have chosen to join together and be the driving force for change and improvement in the Natchitoches region. The influential and dedicated Natchitoches Area Jaycees host annual events such as Cookin’ on the Cane BBQ Fest, the Ducks Unlimited Banquet, and the MASH Toy Drive. These large events and the numerous other events held by the Jaycees give the locals a great weekend outing, help usher in tourists to the downtown district, and give 100% of profits directly back to areas in need within Natchitoches Parish. The Natchitoches Area Jaycees would like to welcome any future leaders that also strive to make a difference in their community. I am blessed to have been chosen as the President of a group of individuals that pride themselves on giving their time, energy, and enthusiasm to others. We look to continue the growth that’s been experienced in the past years with great zeal in order to further enhance the needs of Natchitoches Parish. I would like to thank my wife, Carrie, for her loving support and my fellow Jaycees for providing me with great friendships as we look forward to another outstanding year of progress and growth in 2015.
